Monday 24th April will (if all goes without a hitch) finally see the Field Study Centre (FSC) switching over to mains electricity. Not only will this provide us with a steady, constant power supply, but it will also mean that the background drone of the generator which has disturbed the peace and tranquility of the picnic area especially will be silenced. Bliss!
This project has taken 3 or 4 years to come to fruition and an especial thanks goes to Andrew, one of our valued volunteers, who was instrumental in bringing it all the way through to a successful conclusion.
Please note that the switchover operation will mean that power in the FSC is likely to be limited all day Monday, so lighting, phone and email contact will be unavailable. The Reserve and FSC will otherwise be open as normal.
